It’s always good to have a recipe in your locker that is quick and easy to make and goes will with almost anything & this gravy sauce using Eun Hee Ann from Moon Mart's vegan XO fits the brief 😌
You will need:
2 scallions, thinly sliced
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 egg beaten
1 TBS Vegan XO
1 1/2 TBS oil
Slurry mix:
4 TBS shaoxing cooking wine
2/3 TBS corn starch
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 TBS soy sauce
Pinch sugar
1. Heat up the oil in the pan, add the garlic & scallion slices and gently cook on low heat until fragrant.
2. Add XO sauce & slurry mix, bring up to high heat and cook until the sauce thickens up.
3. Fold through the beaten egg.
Vegan tips: Instead of using egg, add sliced shiitake mushroom(2-3) and increase to 1 TBS of corn starch.
